The One Year Challenge - Inspiring!

The One Year Challenge changed my outlook on life. The author shares her experiences that led her to take a year off from dating in order to focus on her relationship with God. In doing so, she achieved exciting personal goals and was able to become an all around better woman. I gained a lot of insight from the book. I related to the author's experiences so much, that while reading certain passages I felt she was telling my story. Overall, the book reminded me that my relationship with God is the most important relationship I will ever have. The One Year Challenge is a great idea for someone who wants a lasting relationship orchestrated by God. However, the book for me goes way beyond dating. It is so much than that. The One Year Challenge is the best self-help book that I have ever read. The underlying message I got was to avoid distractions and focus on what really matters. It lays out simple principles to help improve your entire life. The author is down to earth and offers practical ideas for readers to follow. You can tell that she wants you to grow. Her approach is genuine. It is an inspiring book. Sometimes in life we (especially women) lose our true self because of a relationship or the demands placed on us as professionals, caregivers, providers or one of the many other roles we play. The One Year Challenge gave me a soft and gentle reality check encouraging me to focus on me, to enjoy my interests, to take time to nurture my spirit, to celebrate my life. It has sparked my passion to continually nurture my relationship with God and to treasure the people who are a part of my life. I have started journaling and taking note of God's promises, I have started thinking of more and more ways to help others particularly with my purpose of encouraging young girls, and I have also realized the importance of making myself a priority, thinking positively, setting goals, renewing my mind and spirit daily, learning and growing and sharing love with others. Thanks to The One Year Challenge, every day my goal is to become a better Christian, mother, daughter, friend and woman. I hope many others will be inspired as well.

GET IT, READ IT, READ IT AGAIN, and BE BLESSED!!

If I could I would email everyone in the world who believe they are alone in this dating game to read this book! You may think you were/are the only person going through the ups and downs and stand stills of relationship, BUT REST ASSURE YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I mean I'm not saying I was happy someone else was going through it, but at least I wasn't alone in the fight to "be married". Kerel's story was not only relatable but helpful and assisted in the peace I was searching for after a failed relationship. I was asking God why? Why me? Why not yet? Then when? Her words not only motivated me they also gave me hope, and the stories she shared, were encouraging. I can honestly say it helped me where I found myself to give up on love and lose faith in God. Kerel's truth was reassuring and allowed me to let go, let God and wait on God. In all truth it made me understand what it was to be patient. I would tell anyone who feels lost in love, lost in faith or just feel helpless to read this book. REST ASSURE YOU ARE NOT! GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING! Thank you Kerel for being so honest, and unafraid to share your story. Women and men everywhere who read this book will get more than they expected, as it was an awesome read. I call it one of my many pages of Hope. GET THE BOOK!!!

The best read I never knew I Needed!!

Have you ever received advice from someone you never even asked their opinion on the matter?? And most times you are so annoyed you're really not listening to them anyway. This is definitely not one of those times. Not only was 'The One Year Challenge' a Greatttttt read, but it was fantastic and timely advice not to mention completely relatable stories. I learned from this book that when it comes to relationships and choices that we are definitely not alone. As a single mother trying to balance it all, dating is the last thing on my mind, but that doesn't mean I'm not entertaining potentials (chuckles). However reading this book taught me that even that way was incorrect and not healthy for me; better yet, not healthy for my relationship with God. Balance is key. Focusing on the Almighty is key. Not chasing any man for any reason is key. God has it under control. And although we seem to act like we already know this key information, truth is we don't. Reading this book helped me understand that and how to accept it. Not every battle is for me to try balance alone. Again, great read!!!!!
