I have thought of this book every day since I finished it. It has left such a lasting impression on me and on the helpless, unbearable grief that someone with mental health issues suffers, and the devastating effects that this afflication has on the family. For anyone who wishes to have a better understanding of this and other mental health issues, I would recommend this book as a means of getting their heads around just a little bit of what life must be like; from both sides.

An uplifting, inspiring and deeply moving guide to becoming love-hearted

An invitation so beautiful that glides down from such a space of clarity and a distillation of jewels that can only come from tapas or putting oneself through the fire of self-discovery in the context of spirituality. There is a beautiful flow between the illustrations and the words. The words, they are simple but nuanced and every reading reveals more depth and brings more clarity.

For my 4 year old daughter and me, this books serves as a little guide before bedtime....she picks a page and I read. It has some effect on her because she asks for it night after night. For an always busy mother and wife like me, its just the right size of reading but brings me joy to be on this path and goals to go forward on this path.

Prem Sadashivananda is a channel for divine gifts. This book will make for a wonderful gift for a friend with a broken heart, a parent thats aging, a teenager just discovering and questioning love and for a spouse yearning for deeper ways to love the divinity in its partner, for a spiritual seeker to break free beyond the texts and complex practices to just be love, and as a gift for oneself for the heart to bloom like the lotus despite the murky waters around.

Relationship problems, problems with self love, getting frustrated with injustice and hostility that we meet in daily life, dealing with a sense of loss or abandonment, loneliness, helplessness, sadness, anger, fears and anxieties. For these and many other reasons we tend to turn to therapy or just ignore them altogether. This is one of the many books, but one of the very few GREAT books which helps us understand , that all of the above and many more are events that we are used to calling 'emotional', are actually happening on SPIRITUAL level.

It is a graceful and accessible guide to spiritual growth, absolutely for everyone, because it focuses on pure spirituality, beyond any religious bias.
It is not a self-help book, and not a philosophical book, but a beautifully written, inspiring spiritual handbook. It is a guide to practicing your spirituality, which is the same for all, regardless of personal belief labels. It actually gives examples of how to practice spirituality, how to practice forgiveness, compassion, and unconditional love beyond judgements and egoistic expectations.

This book made me finally understand that love and everything that is related o it or the lack of it, or the loss of it is a spiritual experience, not, as I have been accustomed to believe, an emotional experience. Once you really understand it, you will find out that you can work on perfecting love in everyday life, by practicing spirituality (and you can do it within religious practice that is close to your heart, if you choose to, and if you don't want to, you absolutely don't have to). Thanks to this book I understood that spirituality is something that you need to practice if you want to be a happier, better person. Just like; if you want to be a great pianist, you have to practice playing the piano, if you want to get in shape, you have to go to the gym, if you want to learn a new language, you have to put in time to read books, study grammar and memorize vocabulary. It is exactly the same with spirituality.

Ain short; a beautiful; eye-opening read.

A reminder of what is essential for Christians

Morgan wants to help us master our life before it's too late. He gives us ten biblical patterns to help us become pleasantly productive people. The Bible reveals the godly patterns for such a life, Morgan writes. “The Bible is the best self-improvement course ever devised.”

Listen to a twelve-year-old. Be about your Father's business.
Redeem the time. Wasted hours can never be regained.
Clear the decks. God isn't disorganized and neither should we.
Maximize the morning. Schedule a standing appointment with God.
Pull off at rest stops. Routinely replenish your inner resources.
Operate on yourself. Diagnose and treat yourself spiritually.
Live “as if.” Act by faith even when your emotions aren't ready.
Bathe in the Dead Sea. Experience the buoyancy of biblical joy.
Practice the power of plodding. Persistently work in small increments.
Remember there are two of you. It's Christ in you that's achieving significance.

Within writing about these principles, Morgan establishes the importance of committing to obey the will of God. He reminds us, “Every day is a divine adventure.” He clarifies that we are not to be just busy. What is important is accomplishing what God has planned for us. He really attacks time wasters. He also points out possible goals that do not align with the Father's will. He shares his morning technique to maintain stewardship over the time God has given us. He points out, “...organization is one of God's essential traits.” (1 Cor. 14:33, 40) He advocates instilling organizational skills in children. He reminds us to get some rest and make wise withdrawals like Jesus did. He writes about strengthening ourselves in the Lord and about choosing and maintaining a joyful attitude. He encourages our abiding in Christ and writes about the exchanged life (Ian Thomas).

While the book is generally theoretical, about the general biblical principles, Morgan has included good examples of practically living out those principles.

He has questions at the end of each chapter that help internalize the principles and promote action. These would be good for personal reflection or for a group discussion. There is also a free downloadable Mastering Life Before it's Too Late workbook.

I really liked this book. In this day when we get so caught up in all the attractions of a busy life, it is good to be reminded of what is really essential for the Christian. This book gives a good foundation for living the live the Bible prescribes. Those who have read other books by Morgan may find some repetition here. But we need to be continually reminded of these principles and I highly recommend this book.

About the Author
Erica Henry drew all the time as a child and a teenager. She won many contests, and loved to create beautiful works. But for some reason, she put down her pencils and gave up drawing. She stopped for over 8 years. She does not know why she stopped drawing. Maybe she grew tired, maybe she wanted to try other avenues in her creativity, or maybe it just boiled down to life got in the way, but one day it hit her to pick the pencil back up, and she's so glad that she did. Art gives her a release. It allows her to quiet her mind and let the world fade away. She gets lost in her drawings and hours pass by in what feels like mere seconds. She decided to share her hard work and drawings with the world.

Dont waste your money

Don't waste your money, the paper is like a child's coloring book paper. Unless your gonna spend the money to buy card stock, lots of ink for your printer so you can rip these out and scan them to your cardstock paper, then pass on these. I bought one good gray scale coloring book with quality paper by Nicole Stocker and I guess I assumed all gray scale books were equal, I was very wrong.

I bought one of all of the Gray to Gorgeous series books and I love them all so much. I was intimidated to try this kind of coloring at first but I watched the video in the description and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did.

They are single sided and so fun to color in with colored pencils.

All of the photographs have been lightened to aid in being able to color them with whatever colors you choose. Since they are lightened the pictures aren't crystal clear like looking at a black and white photograph but I would think it has to be that way so you can color the entire image.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. Just remember that it's different than coloring other coloring books but that's what makes it so fun.

About the Author
Matt Kamer used to suffer excruciating death when speaking in front of a group, now he LOVES it. Overcoming this fear has changed his life and he knows it can change yours, too. Matt trains people on how to overcome the fear of public speaking so they can build the confidence to go after what they want in life.
When he's not working with clients, he's still doing the same thing! He is the current president of his local Toastmasters Club and mentors new members on dealing with nervousness caused by public speaking.

This book sits on the top shelf of Public Speaking and Training books!

I've read a multitude of books on public speaking and training through the years. This is among the best! The writing style is not only very readable, it's enjoyable and fun. The author has a sense of humor that comes across as a real person who connects and speaks directly to you... my kind of book! Although I enjoyed the entire book, the 5th chapter on Practice: The Disrespected Treasure is amazing; a close 2nd favorite for me is Chapter 2: Overcoming Mental Obstacles. I not only have the eBook but the paperback because its content jumps out even more with highlighting and notation. As someone who's been educating, training and coaching for several decades and have had several teams of trainers (up to 70 training professionals), I unequivocally recommend this book. It's exceptional: chock full of clear, actionable recommendations to be the best presenter, whether you're doing a 10 minute topic overview or a multi-day training session.

Not your stereotypical public speaking book

I got this because it was free, who doesn't want a free book??? I wasn't expecting much, I thought it was going to be another bland public speaking guide and sure enough, I was wrong. The information was solid, which should be a given.. But, I found that the best part about the book was the humor and style of writing. It was an easy read and it felt that the author was talking directly to me. It was very down to earth and didn't feel like a mechanical instructor. All in all it was a good read. Best free book I have ever bought.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in public speaking. Matt takes you into the world of overcoming the anxiety and nervousness of public speaking. Very educational and informative with great healthy tips. He goes into great depth on how fear plays a huge part into public speaking and how to defeat it. It’s “PERFECT”
