About the Author
Erica Henry drew all the time as a child and a teenager. She won many contests, and loved to create beautiful works. But for some reason, she put down her pencils and gave up drawing. She stopped for over 8 years. She does not know why she stopped drawing. Maybe she grew tired, maybe she wanted to try other avenues in her creativity, or maybe it just boiled down to life got in the way, but one day it hit her to pick the pencil back up, and she's so glad that she did. Art gives her a release. It allows her to quiet her mind and let the world fade away. She gets lost in her drawings and hours pass by in what feels like mere seconds. She decided to share her hard work and drawings with the world.

Dont waste your money

Don't waste your money, the paper is like a child's coloring book paper. Unless your gonna spend the money to buy card stock, lots of ink for your printer so you can rip these out and scan them to your cardstock paper, then pass on these. I bought one good gray scale coloring book with quality paper by Nicole Stocker and I guess I assumed all gray scale books were equal, I was very wrong.

I bought one of all of the Gray to Gorgeous series books and I love them all so much. I was intimidated to try this kind of coloring at first but I watched the video in the description and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did.

They are single sided and so fun to color in with colored pencils.

All of the photographs have been lightened to aid in being able to color them with whatever colors you choose. Since they are lightened the pictures aren't crystal clear like looking at a black and white photograph but I would think it has to be that way so you can color the entire image.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. Just remember that it's different than coloring other coloring books but that's what makes it so fun.

This book sits on the top shelf of Public Speaking and Training books!

I've read a multitude of books on public speaking and training through the years. This is among the best! The writing style is not only very readable, it's enjoyable and fun. The author has a sense of humor that comes across as a real person who connects and speaks directly to you... my kind of book! Although I enjoyed the entire book, the 5th chapter on Practice: The Disrespected Treasure is amazing; a close 2nd favorite for me is Chapter 2: Overcoming Mental Obstacles. I not only have the eBook but the paperback because its content jumps out even more with highlighting and notation. As someone who's been educating, training and coaching for several decades and have had several teams of trainers (up to 70 training professionals), I unequivocally recommend this book. It's exceptional: chock full of clear, actionable recommendations to be the best presenter, whether you're doing a 10 minute topic overview or a multi-day training session.

Not your stereotypical public speaking book

I got this because it was free, who doesn't want a free book??? I wasn't expecting much, I thought it was going to be another bland public speaking guide and sure enough, I was wrong. The information was solid, which should be a given.. But, I found that the best part about the book was the humor and style of writing. It was an easy read and it felt that the author was talking directly to me. It was very down to earth and didn't feel like a mechanical instructor. All in all it was a good read. Best free book I have ever bought.

Oh Wow.

I hardly find the time to write reviews on Amazon, however, I had to for this.... A very raw and intimate piece that will tug at your heart strings. The author shares some of himself. Surely one of those books that will transport you to another place- you kind of feel like the author is pulling you aside and telling you a secret. Beautiful poetry, and a wonderful story.

“Kotin, a director and actor living in Los Angeles, describes herself as being a sugar addict from a young age. Though this frank memoir recounts the author’s early family life, the majority of her story is devoted to the chaos that the addiction created during her 20s. Kotin chronicles her constant feeling of emptiness, discomfort with her body, troubled family relationships, casual and disappointing sexual and romantic relationships, and an inability to settle on a career path. When life becomes hard and Kotin’s self-loathing sets in, she turns to soothing herself with copious amounts of sugar-laced foods. About the Author
Lisa Kotin is a writer, director, actor, and performance artist based in Los Angeles. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and went on to perform original shows combining physical comedy, monologues, and short films in the United States and United Kingdom. Kotin’s show Temporary Girl, which drew upon her experiences at 100+ temp jobs, is about a dysfunctional family as seen through the eyes of an office temp, and was adapted into a movie that Leonard Maltin praised as “bright and original, with the definite ring of truth.”

It's TOTALLY FRICKIN' GREAT!

It's a GREAT book! Nope, wrong, it's a TOTALLY GREAT book! Nope, wrong again, it's not just TOTALLY GREAT, it's TOTALLY FRICKIN' GREAT !!! It's everything one might want in a good read, deeply personal yet totally surreal, completely relentless yet somewhat blissed-out. There's a little bit of everything - to suit every taste ( and taste bud).
If you can imagine life as a performance art piece and the relentless battle raging inside the artist to try to both understand yet blindly navigate, on sheer faith and many times just total abject fear, the journey that is her life (which ultimately, of course, is the bedrock for her art), then you need to read Lisa's epic tale of craving, lust, hunger, and searching as she is both repelled by yet inexplicably attracted to every Rugelach and Snickers Bar within 100 yards, from her birth to the present day. As Mel Brooks probably would have said, 'READ it - with Raisinetts'. (Or at least I'm pretty sure that's what he would have said, if he had read it.) Annie & Tom Z.

Funny Tale of Addiction and Coming of Age

Lisa is a hilarious writer, although warning, she swears a lot. There was so much I could relate to in this book, because in my quests to lose weight, I've done macrobiotic, OA, psychologists, etc. I remember reading "Sugar Blues". I went to an overpriced prep school, although we didn't have a mime troop. I had the career hiccups as well. It's a quick read, and I bet I'm not the only one who will recognize myself in the stories. I liked it, because I saw myself in the book. I'm not sure how many others will, though.

For me, I think because of rigid diets of my youth, including being vegan before there were many resources, and finally being free in college and my twenties to eat what I want, led to a lot more overindulgence and binges. Geneen Roth's books, Marc David's "Nourishing Wisdom", Intuitive Eating and others finally helped. I don't eat a pint now. I usually have a kid's scoop. And I don't want any more.

Amazing Read - Great to the last gumdrop!

I absolutely loved this book, and would highly recommend it! I was completely drawn in by Lisa Kotin’s incredible honesty and sharp wit. The way she takes the reader through the challenges she faces, due to her sugar addiction, is like a wild ride that only an addiction could propel. Her adventures are truly unique, and are so vividly written that it feels as if you’re right there along side her. Some of her experience is heartbreaking, but even in the midst of an intense scene, she would write a line or two that would make me laugh really hard, out loud. Honestly, I don’t have any criticism, except for the fact that I wanted more when the book ended. I know this book has JUST come out, but I’m hopeful that the next one will be on its way soon…Thanks, Lisa Kotin, for writing on the important subject of addiction, in such an enjoyable, endearing and real way.

A fascinating collection of creative doodles for coloring! It is obvious that the author is very talented, and extremely creative. I was intrigued by the title of the book before ordering it. Having got it, I realize that the book indeed has a lot to do with Zen. It's attractive pages, succeed in completely engaging the mind in the here and now. The book is a great tool for relaxing, in a fun, creative way. Besides adults, I can see the book as a great gift for children. It can keep them immersed in creative activity for hours. I love the collection's focus on nature, and on inspirational themes. It also has a sense of gentle humor, that one discovers as one goes through its pages. In a world that is increasingly subject to the distractions of video games especially on the minds of impressionable children, the book offers an oasis of creative peace and calm. While there are many doodle books available, I found this one to be very special. I would recommend it highly for all ages.

Would make a great inexpensive gift for anyone

This book was lovingly made by my own daughter and I personally saw the care and detail she put into each and every page. You must look closely at the details because they tell a story. This work was intended to entertain adults and children alike with some pages being much easier to color for the younger set but with many pages which will challenge the artistic adventures of the most discriminating adult. Would make a great inexpensive gift for anyone! Highly recommend!

Great Designs but ...

This book contains so many designs for so many interests. The paper in the book is so much better than some. Designs are one sided. If you are a person who wants "crisp" lines then this book is not for you. The pages have a blur to them and I don't think it's a printing issue. It looks like the pages were scanned and not put thru a clean up process. The designs appear to be meant to have shading. The front cover is a great look as to how the pages would, could or possibly should look like. There are blank pages in the back to test your materials on. Most markers bleed thru and colored pencils lay down okay, you might want to use a blender pencil if you don't like white spots coming thru your colors. I like that the pictures are presented in landscape or portrait, which ever is more appropriate for that design.
I would give the book 4 stars for just the designs, the amount and variety are just awesome. Here are a couple of close up pictures to give you an idea of the pages

Great book and highly recommended!

It is always not easy to get rid of our old habits as we tend to fall back to our old ways as the human mind tend to take the easy way out. The writer’s recommendation to celebrate little victories and keeping notes of small progress during the whole habit transformation is really beneficial. Would highly recommend this book, a great buy!

What a lovely read!

What a lovely read!

While many so-called inspirational books are, to me, nothing more than fancy, unusable platitudes, this one is not. This is about real life, gently said, and it all goes directly to the heart. There are insights about everything from peanut butter sandwiches to courage, and a neat little trick for finding heaven.

Many times I was going right along reading them and saying, “Yes, yes, I get that, I know that,” and then one little haiku with its 17 syllables would sneak in and make me go, “Woah!” That’s when I’d look at myself and others and it was like the first time I was seeing life for what it is, and I’m better off for it.

As Nutter says in the introduction, this book is a “pleasure excursion” just like life can and should be. “Eye to Eye” is damn good stuff for adult or child.

Endearing in simplicity, profound in wisdom

I really liked this book! The sheer simplicity of it is endearing, but the wisdom contained within each verse and on each page is profound. I found myself chuckling at some, with others hitting home for the truth they revealed. There are real gems on each page, to be used to appreciate other viewpoints and possibly change some of your own. Very enlightening and refreshing! It is on my nightstand, to read again and again, at the end of sometimes hectic days, some calm in the storm! It makes a nice gift!

Midst my other studies, I finally picked up Eye to Eye and found that I could not put it down. It was like reading Axioms, as the truth was so evident in what Dr. Nutter wrote, that it was not hard to grasp and totally know that we are all capable of taking control of our lives and aiding those of our friends and loved ones, through admiration and understanding. I kept thinking of all the people that I want to read this book. It truly is a way to happiness.

Beautiful coloring book

Beautiful stained glass animal pictures to color or paint. I personally think that many are detailed and not that "simple"; they're just not super detailed like many of the mandala type books. While these drawings depict stained glass designs they are NOT the stained glass coloring books that have special paper that is more see thru in which you could hang up on window to let light come thru. Each picture is on good quality paper and only printed on one side. Only complaint is that there is no perforation for easy removable of a page.
