About the Author
Michael Jaffe has been an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 1981. He is currently Professor of Preaching and Church Leadership and Department Chair of Church Ministries at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. Previously he was on the faculty at Central Bible College where he became a professor in 2001 and department chair in 2006.
Prior to his teaching tenure at Central Bible College, Jaffe served in pastoral ministry for 22 years. He has been a senior pastor and church planter as well as a coach to many young pastors. In addition to his current faculty position, he regularly does outreach and discipleship ministry at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield.
Jaffe received his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies at Central Bible College. He subsequently earned his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and later his Doctor of Ministry from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He and his wife Barbara have three sons, two daughters–in law and five grandchildren, all loves of his life.

As a Pastor he had taught the Bible like no other

Dr. Michael Jaffe was our Pastor in Cazenovia, New York, so I was very interested in reading his book, Found: A Story of One Life Transformation. As a Pastor he had taught the Bible like no other, because of his Jewish background, I presumed. He was, not only brilliant, but a caring Pastor as well. How enlightening to read his book and learn about his transformation. Many have been destroyed from the trauma he suffered while growing up. He felt hopeless and alone and later became a part of the 60's hippy movement. However, meaningless was turned into purpose, and failures were turned into blessings, when some friends told him about Jesus. Today he has made an impact on thousands, from friends and family, to congregations, to classrooms of future leaders at Evangel University. He also ministers to those who are incarcerated and others who have lost all hope. He knows what God can do by his own example. What an amazing story and a lesson in loving "the least of these."

Transformation......understandable, sound account of God's touch

Very clear and informative account of the change in a person's heart and life when confronted by Jesus, God's Son, and his response to Him. I read with delight the progress toward wholeness and sound thinking Michael experienced in his transformation. God's amazing love overcomes the worst trials in life when our focus turns away from 'me' to Jesus, who gave His life on the cross for us. Only then can God pour from His giving nature to bless us. This is a story of how His pouring out on one man who turned to Him has blessed his family, friends, churches, students, and now readers. Thank you, (Pastor) Mike.......we loved this book!

A very good read

All of us are on a journey we call life. The track we follow is unique for each of us. Jaffe has shared his journey in a very readable way. The book is well thought out, filled with valuable insights, and at times a bit of a page turner. His candor is refreshing. His story made me think of my own journey in ways I haven't often thought of. Just 4 stars? Nobody's first work is perfection (although Michener came very close and he claimed it was fiction instead of autobiographical).
As a reader of many biorgraphies of more famous people, I highly recommend this as a worthy addition to your "bucket list".
